Pots can be hard to place or you could use coffee cups

Cups are a good suggestion, for small houseplants, except that they don't have holes in the bottoms, for the needed water drainage.

Drainage for those plants to have water is very essencial for the plants to survive,,

Survive, with their feet wet,
(and no drainage)
is only done by certain fascinating plants, such as water lilies which flower on the surface of ponds.
