Still have the Christmas card delivered to me by mistake

It was for the former resident. I contacted her as soon as I had it and she said she'd pick it up next week, which would have been last week now. I've sent her 2 email reminders to which she hadn't responded. I tried to take it to the post office this morning, but they are still closed for New Year.

I didn't even know there wasn't mail today til I read posts on here...

Must NOT be that important to her/them.

Attached it to something outside, so..if she comes...she can just pick it up there.

It isn't like she lives far away - only about a mile. I had to go out this morning and drove by where she lives now. It a former restaurant converted into a duplex. I didn't see her car in front of her unit. She may have gone away for the holidays.

What is the problem with the card sitting in your house. Just set it aside and wait for her to come over. It’s obviously not a priority for her. If she doesn’t in a month, send another email and ask if she wants you to throw it away.

Sounds like she doesn't care about the card. Write "not at this address", or, if you know her address, write it on the envelope, and pop it into a mailbox.

next time something comes for her, don't tell her. Just pop it back in the mailbox..not known...
I have been doing that, but still receive several mailings for her every week. I've even been to the post office twice about it. All the clerk does is jot something down an a scrap of paper. I thought she might want the card by Christmas, that's why I notified her.

How about writing "return to sender" on it, or "address unknown"? Then, perhaps the sender would stop
sending to your address.

I get mail for the former owner where I live now at least once a week. I send it back to the post office and write no longer lives at this address.
