I can drive in the daytime, night driving scares me.
I have to go out at night two, three times for some essential item, I am very careful. if there are no cars in front of convenience stores and no clerk visible, I wait a minute of two. If there is no activity I leave.
In tx you can carry a pistol in car, open-carry is available, but I would feel 'peculiar' wearing "a pistol outside his pants for the world to see*"
