I think they look absolutely ghastly.
Trouble is, some of these young people are going to wake up someday and find that this kind of thing, as well as big tattoos that show in regular dress, can keep them out of good jobs (discrimination, I know, but it happens, and can be very subtle, as in not making as good an impression in an interview as a guy without all this stuff). Can you imagine some big fancy law firm hiring a person with all that stuff going on? Nope! Many businesses have rules about what can show and what they won't allow, as part of their dress code.
I wish young people would think about the future ramifications before they get permanent "body modifications."
