I use Microsoft Picture which comes with Windows. I edit and enhance crop and resize all at one time and then I save it on my desktop. When I browse it's easy to find it on my desktop. Whatever is the most convenient for anyone .I don't like using outside sites.
I try to use whatever I have on my computer.
The resize feature allows automatic Web size for uploading.

What ever is easy for you, go for it..

It becomes a URL you can use on here. However if you lift it off the Imgur page and put it back in your file on the computer it's still a png.

When I right click on your picture and save to my comuter it is converted to jpg..

I use a remote mouse with my Chromebook..

Sometimes if I take a photo into my 3D paint program I can re-save it as it a jpg.

You should have a couple of USB Ports on your laptop for the receiver. They are maybe $10/12 on Amazon. I don't like the touch pad on the laptop.

I don't either. It's too fussy. It clicks on crap I don't click on. LOL
