Surprised by Beauty

Just recently I was looking at a picture and all of a sudden I had the overwhelming feeling of Beauty. It was magical, and it felt so worderful. I remember throughout my life moments when this occurred. It is not something that can be grasped and held on to, or can it searched for. It just happens.

I know what you mean, @Paco Dennis We took a dual-family canoe trip one time and got started much later than we’d planned, hence a good bit of the canoeing was done in darkness with only the stars for light. The warm, silky air— the starlight on the water— the rhythmic night sounds of the forest insects … it was magically beautiful!

It's a great feeling.

And, you put it into words, very well,
especially for such an indescribable experience, that encountering Beauty truly is.

Unfortunately, if you canoed at night here in Florida you'd be admiring the stars reflecting in the water and suddenly realize there are no stars out tonight and you're looking at alligator eyes. PADDLE FASTER!!!!!
