I'm with Bonnie. I don't like things polluting the air I breathe, whether it's cigs, dope or deisel fumes.
Cannabis does have a distinctive aroma. But the idea that you can't walk down a street without being overcome by the smell of cannabis is a little much. For all those in this forum, who state that cannabis reeks, when was the last time you smelled it? I haven't smelled it in the last 50 years. This "poll" sounds like someone's personal political agenda.
I think the stench of tobacco is a far bigger problem. I'm glad Austin bans it, just about everywhere, in public.
To be honest, this "poll" sounds like a bunch of *****. First, when was the last time you were walking down the street and smelled pot? An hour ago, Um, maybe NEVER!! Well, apparently 100% of everybody in the US & Canada has. Not only that, but everybody in North America is acutely aware of the aroma of cannabis versus a cigar, pipe tobacco, a bakery, paint store, or 10,075 other odors.
