Made me laugh, had a trunk with rusted hole in the floor board exhaust fumes leaking in and praying every day this same thing.
Country living can be great but memories bring a laugh later.

"Back in the day" my early years, I bought a 56 Buick from a barber for $95.00 in Ventura Ca. and headed out cross country. Radiator went bad somewhere in L.A. area and so I pulled in to this little auto shop to see if they could help me. The Buick was a stick shift which was a rare thing, most of them had automatics. This place just happened to have the right radiator to fit it, another rare thing. He let me use his tools to put the new radiator in which is rare for a mechanic to do. And I was on my way and I made it to my destination. So many stories but this one stood out when I heard yours. Had to tell it. BTW, Happy Valentine's Day!
