Tech brands are forcing AI into your gadgets—whether you asked for it or not

Rest assured the day of, " let me speak to a real person," is passing us by!
Courts will move to approve that most all of Citizenry questions are meaningless drivel anyway.

The term AI is being used so widely that non of us can be sure our own brains are not an AI of some type.
Yeah, it has gotten ridiculous. Laymen hear something and run with it in a panic, totally missing real threats until it's too late.

Run, run for your life! The neighbors just bought an automatic washer!

I agree. AI will seem to stream line our inquiries and purchases BUT what it is doing is directing us to the desired result. Each move we make the less chance we have of freedom of choice. This can and will happen. It doesn't have to, but the many tools and forces of capitalism will undemocratize our choices.
It's the tools of marketing that steer consumers. The only tool of capitalism is freedom...the freedom to invent, invest, produce, own your own business, and buy things. That's all capitalism is.

Competition drives the market and the market drives consumers. People have to learn to be smart consumers. Some learn quickly, some are slow, and some never learn.

As to AI, that's a case of convenience driving the consumer. I can live with the inconvenience of resisting it. Tech businesses are very aware that most people want maximum convenience. It's a huge selling point. Probably most people don't understand AI, and tech businesses are aware of that, too. And maybe they aren't saying as much about it as they could....intentionally.

Competition drives the market...
If only things were anywhere near that simple. They aren't.

Consider the acquisitions and mergers that build monopolies and near-monopolies.

Two fixes in the US would be to enforce antitrust legislation and strike down the inappropriate interpretation of the Commerce Clause that hamstrings States from controlling the consumer predation dictated by Wall Street.

Both of these perspectives highlight important aspects of the relationship between technology, capitalism, and consumer choice. The reality involves elements of both views, with capitalism providing certain freedoms while also potentially shaping consumer behavior through market forces and technological innovations like AI.

Yes, market manipulation has been going strong since the industrial age. A couple of hiccups along the way, right?

@Paco Dennis , I know that AI can quickly scour the Internet and put together written works, can generate images and deep fake videos. If I understand Chatgpt correctly, it's a super duper search feature?
Q: what AI apps or services are there that would benefit the average user?
It's pretty good at creating formulas for Excel spreadsheets if that sort of thing is useful for you.
