I got a call once that had my own phone number on my caller ID that was calling me.??
I got one of those too. I didn't answer it but I blocked my own phone number so they can't do it again.

When caller ID shows a bogus number it is called "spoofing".
If we don't see the name of someone that we want to talk to on caller ID, we just don't answer it.
My smartphone has a Seattle area code. Once in a while I get a garbage call from out there. I never answer.

That happened to me also, Hazy. And for a long time, I also got calls beginning with the same 3 digits as my own number. I guess that was to make me think that one of the neighbors was calling.
Partly for that reason, I got rid of my land line. My only phone is the cell. Smartest move I ever made.
