Texas sends people to DC to freeze

Why investigative reporters don't investigate something like this makes me wonder.

The driving time from El Paso, Texas to Washington, District of Columbia is:
28 hours, 39 minutes.

It's not like the federal government doesn't have the ability to track bus loads of migrants headed out of Tx. If the federal government tracked I'm pretty sure it would help the destination cities by giving them advanced notification of expected arrival. That way destination cities could be ready to receive, house, feed, provide warm winter clothing & provide whatever medical care might be needed.

Oh, they know exactly what is going on ..... They have no answers to the problem, so it's ignored, and the finger pointing continues.
IF they (DC) can't track a bus on the interstate, then lots of luck if Putin decides to send something their way! ...( and it won't be a bus. )

It's been 18 years since I was in Texas......how do the Tejanos feel about this influx?

I am curious as to why the illegals can pay tens of thousands to the cartels to break our laws but then be so broke once they get on American soil. It seems the money would be better spent solving their problems at home. Hopefully, harris and biden will be pleased to share their assets with them, but I heard the illegals are being put up in expensive hotels and showered with many American taxpayer gifts of food, clothes, health care, education and on and on it goes. It will be interesting to see how they feel about paying taxes in the future because Americans were bankrupted by them.

As a Canadian, what right do you have to make such a statement about Americans? You obviously are poorly informed..
As a member here, she has every right to respond to posts and voice her opinion. She's a Canadian, not an idiot.

Do you think the USA is in a darkened bubble that the rest of the world cannot see? Canada is our close neighbor, many Canadians know more about our country than some Americans do. You obviously are the one who is poorly informed, not @Shalimar.

The people left their own countries and decided on their own to enter the USA without following the required legal procedures.

The USA could simply deport them!

Their situation now is much better than it was in their home country, and WX is not much better TX/WDC with the blizzards and cold!

Who is to blame ?

For a start, temps along the border are also freezing. For another thing, hospitals and shelters here are overcrowded and overwhelmed. Governor Abbott is making a statement. Washington has been ignoring the crisis at the border, so now they havsomeevidence of what’s happening. Plus, the feds have Also flown migrants to various places, under cover of darkness, but your news probably doesn’t over that.

So many replies on this thread, but I notice there is only finger pointing and not one...not one....positive idea for how to handle it, or even begin to handle the problem.
Well, except that those so very critical who are rallying to put these migrants on a bus or a plane, and get them out of Texas.
What?!? Dust your hands once the bus starts rolling out of state? Some solution. Some intelligent thinking going on here.
Seems to me this line of negativity and blaming solely those NOW in Washington are the lead to this despicable band wagon (lump 'em on the bus and let others worry about it) posters here are on.

Of course this problem is huge, but it didn't start in the last two years. All of us have allowed it to get this bad. Who has written to their congressman about this grievance?) I'd bet a busload of money not any of the criticizers. That would be harder than grumbling and complaining and blaming anyone but yourselves.
