I haven't seen a tumbleweed since I left Nevada!
Bet you get some dust devils down there, too. My kids always loved seeing those.

Common in the Arizona desert too, both dust storms (haboobs) and tumbleweeds.

Since I don't drive, send me some seeds to plant in missouri...
I only saw it once while living in Texas. We were driving South on I-35 from Denton towards Dallas. We saw tumbleweeds with a huge dust storm over the fields. It was very impressive.
While living in North Texas, I found that the wind was always blowing except in the summer. That was surprising.

That must have been years ago when the land was empty!!!
Indeed, we were there some years ago. We were taking side trips on weekends. That trip took us to Denton and surroundings. We did noticed how fast the land was developed and therefore lost its charm and nature. (Just like in Florida.)
