so, i visit a few other boards. i HATE how politics have taken over other boards. someone mentioned this place... and that people don't talk politics! when you're on a message board and you mention not being terribly political or voting for the lesser of 2 evils... you soon find yourself at the bottom of a dog pile. i posted the same post at one of those boards that i did here... about pecans. immediately, felt the impact of jackboots on my back and was told the attack was PLANNED.

i'm not sure what my level of maturity will be when this is all finalized, but damn it, payback IS a bitch.

thank you for this place to express thoughts/feelings without people ganging up on you!

I was on another forum for a long time and the people were so nice to me until I posted a response in a Political thread. I got really attacked by almost everyone that had been nice to me before. That is one of the main reasons I love this forum. No one has ever been nasty to me in here. I'd rather be in here with these wonderful people than even watch tv.

Sassycakes,your experience reminds me when I was a member on the AARP website for 5 yrs
Once in awhile I would venture onto the political thread and post something which I thought was fine .Just like you,I got attacked by some posters who were down right mean spirited,vicious,really got me po'd. I sent private messages to admin,never responded in a timely manner.I finally had enough left and came here which is a refreshing change Sue
