No-one is forcing you to read any of the threads on here. The titles are usually explicit, so it should be easy for you to avoid anything which might upset you.

well that was her point actually - that it was i n threads without any such title or expected content - like daily greeting thread and games thread

if the rule is No politics then people should adhere to that - not blame others for reporting threads that break the rule. If people are banned because they can't adhere to that, then that is on them - not on whoever reported it

I watched DW World last night. It was a panel discussion in English. My eyes have been opened to wider issues beyond the US borders. Germany's government has just collapsed and people are already worried about stability.

The ripple effect of the 2024 US elections will sweep over Europe, the Middle East, Ukraine, Russia and the Far East affecting China, Taiwan, and Philippines.

This is truly a momentous decision that the American people have made. It changes so much that has been previously taken for granted.

The effect on Australia and New Zealand should be minimal and I cannot speak for Canada.

Today, in D.C., thousands of people are protesting the result of a free and fair election. Maybe they just wanted to take advantage of the nice weather... Sunny, in the 60s... a swell day for a protest.

lol this thread has become the default elections thread.

What was I saying about politics being everywhere and unable to avoid here?!

If it's going to continue, political posts would be easier to avoid if all of it was put in a certain place that could be avoided.
