Thanksgiving in America - November 27th

Tender Leftovers ..^ .

iu

I remember a Cool Whip commercial in the 1960s. A girl comes into the kitchen and tells mom what everyone wants for dessert and rattles off a list as mom scoops the topping onto the desserts. She finally says, "No pie for Uncle Harry - just Cool Whip."
BTW - I did have an Uncle Harry - my mom's next youngest brother.

Everything's prepared except the turkey, gravy (bottled), Brussels sprouts and cranberry ambrosia. I can bake the tenderloins tomorrow and heat the gravy then. The cranberry dish separates if made the day ahead. The sprouts are better if eaten freshly prepared.
So far:
instant "loaded" mashed potatoes
cornbread stuffing
apple cranberry cobbler
yamkin (combination of mashed sweet potatoes and pumpkin)
