...... in the hope that in the future the cancer that killed her can be cured and she can be brought back to life.Your thoughts please. This topic filled an entire three hour show on British Talk radio.

Since you've posted this topic, what are your thoughts about this? It's helpful also to post a link to the news story in case someone would like to read about it.

Cryogenics has existed here for some time. If you can't afford the whole body, your head can just be done a lot cheaper, and the hope is a healthy body could be like a transplant immediately after death by accident...

Point taken.inews.co.uk will probably help. I'm inclined to think it's a complete waste of money but since none us of will be around if what seems impossible becomes possible I could be completely wrong.

It has been around for ages but how does anyone know it will ever work?

I think the idea of bringing her back is a false hope; she's dead. If she had been frozen prior to dying, I would concede that there might be some chance at success.

I agree -- curing cancer is one thing -- bringing back the dead is another. Even if that were possible, what about the affect on the brain of oxygen deprivation during the however brief time she was dead before being frozen. Now she's just frozen dead.

I'm inclined to agree.

I think this story is only newsworthy in that the parents were of two minds about this. The father was opposed and the young girl wanted it and her mother was acceding to her request. I think there was an application to a court to go ahead with the post mortem freezing.
