Hahahahahahaha---I get what you mean totally. As long as lack of patience do not add to your stress level. Hahaha--funny tho--I've run out of patience. Stupid is stupid.

Hahaha--oh my, nooooo lol. I hear you. But I would say, be kind to yourself as lack of patience creates undue stress. As you know, stress is the silent killer. Be good my friend and stay warm.I live in the sticks, so it's most country roads around here. Do I ever want to strangle the guy doing 20 mph in a 45 zone? Oh, yeah. Also, on my 'hit list' is the guy, at a red light, who takes all the time in the world to get going, so only two cars get through. Then, there's two old friends chatting away , and holding up the checkout lane..........Thankfully, I get relief by just thinking of strangling them.
Unfortunately it does. My blood pressure rises way too often.Hahahahahahaha---I get what you mean totally. As long as lack of patience do not add to your stress level. Hahaha--funny tho--
It's often actually more stressful having to put up with the "stupid" as to ignore it or lose patience and let the steam off.Hahahahahahaha---I get what you mean totally. As long as lack of patience do not add to your stress level. Hahaha--funny tho--
Well...Is that good or bad? I am here to promote "positive energy" and have a discussion on various topics which can be challenging to all of us (me included).
Yes, don't you dislike when you are behind someone for a long time, and you can literally feel that they think you are following them. Hahahaha. I love when you said "..hope they caught a clue on their own.." Hahahaha. But should I assume you exercised level 10 patience? If so, nice...then you also exercised an act of kindness at the same time. Stay up! Remain safe and be careful on the road. Take your time...live in an area that gets very little snow and many do not know how to drive when slick .....
just yesterday one pulled out in front of me and crawled down street........ it was a too close for them to pull out when dry let alone icy and then to not even barely move ................they turned around and literally blocked the driveway to my workplace .......... they must have thought i was following them when i drove around to gO to work i hope they caught a clue on their own
i just smiled and waved when i would have liked to tell them the truth of their behavior .... but i just let it go.
I don't look my age. People usually think I'm 45ish.This is actually a current pic. I am 60 currently..61 this year--Yikes. I work out 6 days a week. Lift weights, cycle (bike), run/jog outside, golf, pickelball. Usually do 5-10 miles outside depending. Hmmmmm let me see..I'm up at 5A, to get ready for my international clients.Well...if you're over 50, it's good.

Well I welcome your teachings. I wish there were more members like you.Is that good or bad? I am here to promote "positive energy" and have a discussion on various topics which can be challenging to all of us (me included). I am learning as well. If you prefer conversations that do not add value to you as an individual, then I guess, you may not appreciate what I am doing. Hope this answers your question.

Yes indeed. I mostly do closer to 10 miles-walk/jog outside. Weather is not a problem. Unless there is ice on the tracks. Biking only when it is dry and I do up to 25 miles. No super woman. I am fighting to remain healthy my friend. You usually do 5 to 10 miles outside ā¦walking, running or biking?
Youāre super woman.
lol
There you go...I love to hear these kinds of stories as it is very encouraging. The mere fact that you were able to turn a situation into something positive instead of complaining is a stress release. You seem to be a mindful person. Continue to be well and stay encouraged. Be careful out there...Having worked for many years in nursing homes, patience was part of my job. Sometimes my patience wears thin when waiting for someone to pick me to go somewhere. Waiting and worrying about the weather or the time. Yesterday I was in this situation and I just told myself I was lucky to have someone come and pick me up to do my errands. Plus the time doesn't really matter. And the person picking me up can drive in any kind of weather. So I just let it go.
Thanks for the encouragement. We all need to continue to go on and be better versions of ourselves. Well...I am going to hop off this thread for now. Will be back if not later tomorrow perhaps. I am also going to start a new thread. Not sure of the topic as yet tho. Be well...Will link up again.Wow! I love how you think. Kindness always wins. Youāre right and I love the kindness jar idea.
Your example about driving was exceptionally helpful. I hate tailgating. Leaving sufficient space between cars is not only more polite, itās safer for ALL!
If I used my strategy for everyday living, Iād be managing my own stressful behaviour. At times my posts have been the equivalent to an impatiently aggressive driver honking the horn to anyone who got in my way. I can see that now.
Thank you for helping me understand that part of me better. I like the way you think and am very glad you joined us.![]()
Oh, it doesn't bother me at at all. I am in no hurry now, I am retired.Funny...hehehehe. Yes! I know the situ so very well my friend. So, tell me, now that you are aware, are you better at being patient in this situ? What do you do if this were to happen again. I am asking you all these life challenging questions, so we all can learn and grow together while exercising more kindness and love to one another. Life cannot be focus on negativity.
I'm always willing to learn about new thoughts and attitudes that will make my life and the lives of others better. When I retired, I was no longer learning about my particular industry so I focused on improving myself personally. I still have a ways to go, but I definitely consider myself a better, more patient person than I was when I was working. Is that good or bad? Yes, I'm with you on this totally. It's actually a picture of me--4 months old. A couple of people said Avatar and I'm confused. BUT yes, I do have gay friends and your comment is not surprising tho. Thanks for the compliment...I'm always willing to learn about new thoughts and attitudes that will make my life and the lives of others better. We will all be gone from this earth some day, but our good deeds will live on in the minds and hearts of others. Please do keep posting your inspirational topics.
P.S. If you look like your avatar you are one beautiful lady. And I'm gay, so take that as a compliment and not a come-on.![]()
Yeah she has been here for a week now, and she is sounding like she is running some kind of training program here. Methinks the screen name might allude to some business of the same name ? JimB.Why do I feel as if I'm in a classroom or some kind of seminar?![]()

It is so very sad that your thinking is at this level. Who is "SHE"? Sir, I don't need to waste my "valuable" time to promote positive energy to others in a world where there is so much hate and negativity, which you have expressed.Yeah she has been here for a week now, and she is sounding like she is running some kind of training program here. Methinks the screen name might allude to some business of the same name ? JimB.
..btw..my screen name is NOT my business name. It is a name that I live by as it relates to being "fit for life" which includes, mental and emotional besides physical. You sit there judging others without trying to "learn" something new each day. So sad for people like you.Yeah she has been here for a week now, and she is sounding like she is running some kind of training program here. Methinks the screen name might allude to some business of the same name ? JimB.
And all this from the woman who wants us to be "Patient with others " ? I have to laugh at that. JimB.It is so very sad that your thinking is at this level. Who is "SHE"? Sir, I don't need to waste my "valuable" time to promote positive energy to others in a world where there is so much hate and negativity, which you have expressed.
The fact that you are unable to see the "good" goes beyond words based on your age. I am 60 and is a successful business owner and one who is a global traveler. FYI, some of us, don't always look to gain financially, as we do love to give our time voluntarily. Apparently, you prefer to use your time to gossip and talk about senseless topics that cannot add an ounce of value to your life.
Grown people have a tendency to always talk about the young people and their mindset. But the truth is, grown people like you is far worse than the youths of today. For the record, I will not waste any more of my time address your negative vibes. You continue to do what you are doing on here and see how helpful it is to your life. You be well.
I will leave you and others with this; The world has no use for people who complain about everything. Be part of the solution; Muddy water is less clear when you leave it alone...
I often drive a mile or two out of my way to avoid dangerous intersections. I would rather be safe than sorry.Exactly, stress is what I try to have a handle on. While driving, I stay as calm as possible, let them pass, and I drive on less traveled roads. Less stress that way.
Yes, so very true...I spent my career in human services and then after retiring teaching part time so I have always been very patient. Retirement has even made it easier because I have so much less stress. Plus getting upset isnāt going to change anything.
