The Art of Doing Nothing

Isn’t meditation basically the art of doing nothing?
No, meditation, if done correctly, is active wakefulness.

Doing nothing is leaning back, closing the eyes, and in the stillness and the soft repose,
do nothing but listen to the Angel's whisperings to your mind.
In the silence, may your understandings come.
It is a being alone, with your own soul, and your own heart.
It is beautiful.

I don't like to brag, but I may be one of the Olympic best at this event, although Gary O' and Mrstime sound like contenders.

Every report card I ever took home said, "Daydreams in class." My college roommate once observed that I was standing staring out the window when she left for class and hadn't moved when she returned.

I had to change when I started working, thank heavens for coffee, but I'm regaining my skill in retirement.
