If anyone is interested in what makes the Australian way of voting quite unique, the above link is to a very long and detailed article by Annabel Crabb. Crabb is an excellent writer and provides not only the current system but also how it evolved even before Federation in 1901.
@Warrigal we visited parlement house and also managed to get a seat in question time ( we had to book )
It was in July this year .
We spent the whole morning there before the Question time started at 1 pm ..it was very interesting reading how it all started ,……to be honest you’d have to spend days thete to see -
and read all the info
That’s without visiting old parlement house which has more info than the ‘ new” building
