The banning of Marijuana

All this pot talk is making me crave a joint!! Haven't had it in ages, though.

Me too...to both. Sometimes I'm tempted to "borrow" one from some family and friends I know have some...but until it's legal to do so it will remain just a temptation in my mind every now and then.

Babs, so true.

Yes, one of the other reasons, I gave it up at my young age. And here I thought it was just me it made so orny.

BTW, all this talk made it's way into my dreams last night. But even in my darn dreams, I refused to take a toke. :crying: That was really stupid. Something tells me I really need to let loose.

I'm neither a smoker or drinker, living in the Pacific Northwest around all this 'Reefer Madness' hasn't altered that fact. I do however take a daily dose of 3 Tbsp 'hemp hearts' to help control my glucose. My two daughters both living here have at times indulged. The only problem was when the younger ingested too many MJ laced brownies, they took her to the ER to calm her down. They both grow their own, becoming adept gardeners like so many others here. I'm still waiting for the anticipated crime wave & traffic problems so many anti's were predicting, ain't happened in fact the latest figures point to reduced crime in our major cities. There's talk about the state's income & anticipated reduction in our taxes.

I watch both 'Cops' & 'Jail' reality shows, I'm still amazed of the amount of time & money spent chasing hop heads, confiscating baggies of MJ, prosecuting the offenders & incarcerating the guilty. But in all those shows I can't remember a take down or clamping one MJ user in the 'chair'. Actually they appear to be accepting the handcuffs & humiliation of arrest in stride. But, on the other hand almost without fail any time a drunk or hard drug user is stopped & brought in it usually gets ugly.

Once again it's all about money, several small towns were going to ban 'head shops' but have since changed their minds, because of the lost revenue they were missing out on. A major manufacturing firm is locating their 'edible' production plant to my current city. They will be contracting with local farmers much like the sugar factories did in my former state, this may revive the lost jobs & income lost in the lumber business.

SOP, it's always nice to see someone such as yourself, a non-toker that still sees the logic of the situation. Economics, as usual, rules the day!
