The difference in senarios between the 50's and now.

Apart from number 1 the gun scenario, every single one of these examples occur here in the Uk as well..and sadly the better examples were nowhere nearly as long ago as the 50's...probably more realistically just 20 years ago....what on earth happened.?

Holly, I don't know what happened but it sure as hell wasn't for our betterment.

I believe it has to do with the proliferation of attorneys and litigation madness.

BTW, apologies in advance to those that might be attorneys, have a loved one that is an attorney, anybody that actually had a positive business(or personal) experience with an attorney, or who has a son or daughter (like myself)who, despite the best of uprearing, wants to be an attorney.

:)

You forgot ...

"Your mileage may vary. Do not operate heavy machinery. Ask your doctor if the '50's are right for you. Do not ingest. Warning - coffee may be hot. Do not use hair dryer in bath. "

:p

A man received a call from his son's first-grade teacher.

"Mr. Jones, I need to let you know that today we were discussing what the students' fathers did for a living and your son announced that you were a male prostitute."
.
Mr. Jones apologized for his son, assured the teacher that he was NOT a male prostitute and prepared to have a little talk with his son when he got home from work.

"Johnny, did you tell your class today that I was a male prostitute?"

"Yes, Daddy."

"Why in the world would you say something like that?"

"'Cause I was embarrassed to tell them you were a lawyer!"

Anyone else watching Better Call Saul? It's an absolutely hilarious sendup of the sleazy, yet lovable, attorney who made his debut on Breaking Bad. It's on AMC.
