Me too sassy. Funny now but our pastor at the time warned our parents not to let us watch it the night Elvis was on! My daddy did not care for the pastor and told us to watch it if we wanted! We loved it.

It's been running on tv here (Dallas) for a year.
It is somewhat slushie by today's standards, But Boy it it's day it was a Don't Miss Program.

Although Ed Sullivan brought us some great entertainers, some in the process of achieving stardom, it’s easy to forget the stupid novelty acts that he used as fillers. They probably wouldn’t hold up on TV today except as part of “The Gong Show...”
