The face of an older woman, is beauty.

LadyEmeraude

You may call me EM 😊
When I look at older women’s faces, I see great beauty in them... I see the beauty in each crow’s foot because those are the signs of laughter... dark spots hint at a life lived in the sun... grey and white hair shines bright and suits our older skin tones well... our inner beauty makes our eyes sparkle and every mark tells a story that only we know.

Some words I value and like~

I chose to see it as beautiful...

I do too.
I try to imagine what they looked like when they were younger, to have become so beautiful later in life.

I'm meaning to say that they must have been a beauty early in life, for it to carry over in to their later life.

ETA...I think a persons caring and kindness really reflects in their beauty.

I agree with you @LadyEmeraude, :) and not just because I'm older. I've always felt this way, even when I was young. I found older faces fascinating because of exactly what you said. They have a beauty unto themselves, and their faces tell a story. They look like they've lived an interesting life.

I don't look at nor do I like fashion magazines. I refer to the models as "The Blank Beauties." A parade of seemingly smooth, unlined, perfectly flawless creatures. Canvases devoid of expression, emotionless mannequins. They're not real. They've been made up and airbrushed within an inch of their lives into an image that doesn't exist. It's true that a few are real natural beauties, but the majority are fabricated into an ideal that rarely exists in real life. It is a difficult image for the average woman, even in her youth, to even achieve, let alone maintain.

I'll take reality over that any time. There's nothing wrong with doing to yourself what makes you feel better, but extremes don't help an older woman's overall appearance. They look artificially cobbled together. We are supposed to get old, if we're fortunate. I'll gratefully continue to age and accept what comes naturally and be content with that. What really counts in the long run is the beauty that shines through from inside. ;)

I agree dobielvr, the transition of the beauty, reflected through the caring and kindness also~

Who said it then? When quoting it's nice to give credit, don't you think?
I am not sure who exactly said it, it is a series of words I enjoy, the words
have stayed in my head a long time, could be a quote from a paragraph
or from places that speak of a womans face and beauty.

You expressed this so nicely Bella, and very much reflects how I personally feel~

You have a good memory then to be able to recall that, but yet I can still recite Hamlet's soliloquy from High School. When one is impressed they remember.
Yes, I am not sure if this is though from a quote, now you have me interested in googling it and looking it up, see what I can find. The words are stuck in my mind forever, that is for sure.

You can recite Hamlets soliloguy, that is very nice!

God isn’t going to be too pleased with those that weren’t too pleased with Him. I mean I pretty much don’t have eyebrows (they’re actually white and thin) but you don’t see me coloring them in anymore.

I couldn't care less about my face being old; I just wish I could get my body to work halfway correctly so I could still have a social life. Beauty doesn't mean anything at all to me anymore; health (and my lack of it) is the thing on my mind.
Totally agree Ripley. I am not at all interested in cosmetic surgery, and my personal beauty routine is pretty much non-existent. However, I consider the money I have spent on joint replacements to be money well spent. I am now free of joint pain and this shows in my face. I am also now quite mobile and can go where I please. When I am not smiling the camera is not kind to me but if truth be told, I smile a lot and that's what people see, not my time ravaged face and figure.
