The first song that comes to mind

How to pick just one?
My mother had a beautiful singing voice and often sang as she did housework. She had a habit of singing Irish songs, tho she was Hungarian, because my Dad was Irish/Welsh. Probably the one i heard earliest in life was '"Tura lura lura, T'is an Irish Lullaby". She had a Mimic's ear and would sing it in an Irish brogue.

But the one that in many ways defined not only my childhood but my teens was "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas"

For me, it has to be "Davey Crockett". on TV, the theme song was NOT sung by Fess Parker. It was a group called "Wellingtons".
And the song is a Disney product, so unless you pay all kind of fees you can't use it. Hopefully this link works

I threatened to run away from home unless i got a Davey Crockett coon skin cap, but I kept showing up for supper.

Elvis singing "You Ain't Nothing but a Hound Dog"...
My teenage sister played this 45 rpm over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, Until I about died! Accordingly, I never liked Elvis!

I listened to this album everyday as a little kid. I was fascinated. So many stories and songs to have going in your head.
