This mornings uninteresting fact: I have at times during my career facilitated repairs and preformed routine maintenance on these two locomotives. Hopefully nothing i did or didn't do contributed to this picture.
Geeky ocean liner humor. Clockwise from top left: Olympic, which had a long, illustrious career (and even rammed and sank a U-boat—very cool); Lusitania, which was torpedoed and sunk in 1915; Britannic, which was immediately requisitioned as a wartime hospital ship and sank after striking a mine off the coast of Greece; and, of course, Titanic, whose story everyone knows.
The joke doesn't really land because Lusitania was a Cunard ship and the other three were White Star Line ships, but I thought it was cute and wanted to share it.
