Well, it's all in how you view it. As I recollect, it was the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. So if we hadn't eaten that , then we wouldn't know good from evil, and we may think we are doing good, but actually doing evil, and doing evil thinking it is good. So Eve may have been the one doing humanity a favor. (A stretch, but since Eve isn't here to defend herself, Bobcat is here to defend her honor).
