Concert Humor #1 The Righteous Brothers

I saw the Righteous Brothers at the New York State Fair back in the 1980's.
Bill Medley introduced the song Unchained Melody, which is a Bobby Hatfield solo. He said that it was their best song, even though he didn't sing a note on it. He then left the stage. Bobby Hatfield then began to sing the song. When he finished, he sat in a chair and wiped his brow.
This was the conversation that followed, when Bill Medley came back on stage.
Bill: "What's the matter Bobby?"
Bobby: "That song was a lot easier to sing 25 years ago!"
Bill: "Everything was easier to do 25 years ago, Bobby!"

Concert Humor #2 Ray Charles

One day back in the 1980's, I saw Ray Charles in concert at the New York State Fair. Either before or after one of his songs he shared a naughty little story. He said that "Sometimes in the evening, when I'm with my woman, and I'm in the mood for a little lovin', being blind, my woman has to take my hand, and show me where the hole is." I sat in the aidience stunned that he'd actually say that to the audience. I looked at his back up singers The Raelettes, and one of the three ladies, was blushing like hell. A second one just shook her head in disbelief at what she just heard. I must have thought, "That's probably the 1st time that they have heard that Ray Charles story."
