The Great Smokey Robinson

For over 65 yrs this master songwriter has been churning out hits[and still doing it], the greatest writer of love sonnets since[Shakespeare] Smokey's songs can touch any part of the heart, be it sad or glad, for some reason I've always felt that he doesn't get the appreciation that he's earned...anyhow just a shout out to a living legend!!

I was lucky enough to see Smokey Robinson & The Miracles live in San Jose, California in the 60's or early 70's. Unbelievable. The sound wasn't properly captured on records (no DVDs at the time). When he opened his mouth, it sounded like velvet.

If it ever comes to your city, the play Motown is fantastic. We've seen it twice. It has great music and profiles the rise of Motown with Berry Gordy, Smokey Robinson, Marvin Gaye and Diana Ross. The Temptations, The Four Tops, and of course the Supremes are also featured.

With its heartfelt lyrics and lush musical arrangement, “Daylight & Darkness” is a beautiful and poignant song that showcases Robinson's talent as a songwriter ...

The song "Daylight & Darkness" showcases Robinson's incredible range and vocal abilities, leaving listeners with an undeniable emotional connection.

If you think that there isn't a song that can bring a tear to your eyes...just play Smokey's[I Can't Find]!!
