The greatest cereal of all time...

Is it a lot better that way? I eat oatmeal about 5 times a month, the other times I eat my Fiber One Cereal because of all the fiber it has but I’m not crazy about it...I’m not a cereal person..never was.

I also like avocado toast with a fried egg occasionally.

I don't about a LOT, but it definitely does taste better! You have to stand there and watch it tho'.

Puffa Puffa Rice - I was trying to remember the name of this one earlier today because I could picture the box... Hawaiian boy and girl in a boat. It was sweetened puffed rice.

Hands-down, the greatest cereal of all-time was Crumply Crunch!

When I was a kid our favorite day before payday cereal was a bowl of hot white rice with a sprinkle of sugar, cinnamon, and a splash of milk or a pat of butter.

I still have it once or twice a year using leftover white rice that has been reheated.
This was the only way we ever had rice when I was growing up.

Porridge is THE cereal for me. None of your instant stuff that looks like glue, or stuffed with fruit or honey etc... Just Porridge Oats, water, a pinch of salt and served with milk. My favourite is Scott's Old Fashioned Porage (sic) Oats.

Porridge is the only cereal that I eat, I prefer the Quaker brand. I make it one measure of oats in a saucepan, one measure of boiling water poured over the oats, wait five minutes for the water to absorb, one measure of skimmed milk. Bring to the boil on a low heat stirring all the time. It tastes disgusting, but I have eaten it for years. Reason being it's nourishing, it's slow release and it staves off hunger pangs, all of which keeps my weight down.

As a child, I ate "Life" cereal right out of the box. I couldn't wait for milk.
When I say "Right out of the box," I'm talkin' about the WHOLE box - (33 gms sugar/cup, 12 cups/box = 386 gms sugar/box) That's 96.5 teaspoons.
Same with Sugar Frosted Flakes. The Frost was my favorite part.

Love muesli. But my go to cereal especially in cold months is Quaker Oats (rolled oats) with a few Craisins, teaspoon of extra virgin olive oil and a splash of unsweetened almond milk.

Now I only eat the no-added-sugar high-fiber cereals, but when I was a kid I loved Cocoa Krispies and Fruit Loops. Several years ago I worked in an area near a Corn Pops factory and the heavenly fragrance led me into a short Corn Pops craze.

I read about an interesting experiment involving rats with Fruit Loops and Lucky Charms.
When a box of each cereal was put into a cage with hungry rats, they ate the boxes but wouldn't touch the cereal.

Cheerios .. and occasionally steel-cut oats (with a few raisins).
As a kid, Rice Krispies was a favourite (Snap, Crackle, Pop!). Rice Krispie Squares were yummy too.
