I took the opportunity to get some photos of one of Morecambe's most iconic buildings in this evening's fog. The Art Deco "Midland Hotel" which opened in 1933.

It looks like a Ferry, making a night crossing!I took the opportunity to get some photos of one of Morecambe's most iconic buildings in this evening's fog. The Art Deco "Midland Hotel" which opened in 1933.

Beautiful, and very imposing. The Midland Hotel in Morecambe, Lancashire, England, was built by the London, Midland and Scottish Railway (LMS), in 1933.
Another railway Midland Hotel, is now known as St Pancras hotel. St Pancras Station is the UK's terminus for the Channel Tunnel, European mainland line. But when this photo was taken, a European connection was the last thing on the minds of the country. So sorry it's black & white.

Art Deco is my most favourite architecture. I would love to see the inside of that hotel. Have you ever been
inside it? @-Oy-
