I am curious if you think the way these issues are discussed are a change in the Main Stream Media broadcast? I feel like it is a step forward in being able to discuss important issues ( political, etc.... ) without falling into partisan, dualistic, harmful, communication.

The young lady mentioned one problematic trait in society these days: tribalism...total mind-block & perceptual paralysis...us vs. them thinking.
Back to the video- they did a decent job of analyzing the issues. Perhaps the younger generation can bring back civilized discussion, they are in a position to hunger for "what's right" rather than having an "I got mine...screw you" attitude.

Anybody remember Firing Line? Hosted by William F. Buckley Jr., one of the last conservative intellectuals. Discussions were civil, fact based and the thrust of the arguments were whether X,Y or Z were in the Nation's best interest, or harmful.

I like the way they're discussing issues without shouting at each other and name calling. I'll need to watch a few more episodes to see how it pans out.

I'm not sure all the discussions were "fact based," but they were civil and not tribal like today's political discussions.

Sometimes, not very often, but there are times when one can take all the evidence that they have collected and draw their own conclusion, whether it be correct or not. We try to ascertain the 'reality' by subjecting the truths that we know are true and that we can all agree with. When we collect several pieces of circumstantial evidence, it will (at times) show or lead us to the truth.

Just like when a robbery or a murder has been committed, we seldom will have an eyewitness to the crime, but by putting all of the circumstantial evidence together, we can form or make our own story as to what most likely occurred. The more circumstantial evidence that is collected, the more positive we can be of what the evidence is telling us. Theories do not run true in front of the Court, but evidence will most always be accepted as facts.

I've subscribed to several news shows on YouTube. I prefer them to broadcast and cable TV news. YouTube demonetizes a lot of them, their form of censorship, but they can get support through Patreon and PayPal. I'm a patron of 2 of them...just a few bucks a month.
