The Oscars....are you watching?

Watching now. I like the way they've cut down the long "thank-you's".

The rest of it....meh. So far. The "Red-Carpet" part was mostly commercial breaks, interspaced with the interviewers talking about themselves and an occasional glimpse at someone's dress.

I really enjoy the "dresses" part. I like to wonder how some people who have so much money and access to fantastic designers, makeup artists, hairdressers, and the correct foundation garments can manage to look like I do when I roll out of bed in the morning and apparently have everyone else think it's wonderful.

I did like The Minions, though.

OK, back to the show.

The best thing about the Oscars is that it gave the Cable TV morning news Pundits something to talk about other than Trump, Cruz and Rubio.

Ditto JJ;) A fave movie line of mine came from Sean Connery in The Russia House. He's talking on the phone to Michelle Pfeiffer setting up a meeting and says "you'll recognize me, I look like an unmade bed" LOL! It was something like that;)

Nope, haven't watched this show in years, plus TWD was on. :) I will enjoy seeing some of the dress reviews later today though.

I miss Mr. Blackwell. He was such an interesting little critter. He'd rip someone up and down about their dress ("frumpy, unattractive, a hot mess") and then several dresses later someone else would have on essentially the same dress ("oh, it's so FRESH and YOUNG and INNOVATIVE!!!"). I always figured he didn't get invited to someone's after-Oscar party and had to get a dig in at her.

Heidi Klum looked like she had run amok through J.C. Penney's curtain department. I haven't seen that much flowing pastel tulle since my grandma's bathroom. And there was another woman in a tuxedo/suit that looked like she won second place in the Make-Your-Prom-Outfit-Out-Of-Duct-Tape Contest. Maybe third place. And then there was some great ones!

I'm going to have to see that one for sure. Lots of good reviews. I saw a good one about 2 weeks ago called "the lost honour of Christopher Jefferies". Now that guy could act. I guess it was a mini-series. I still don't think I've seen a better actor, at least, not since Sling Blade.

Did not watch, as I'm out of the Oscars and movies mind frame lately, but watched video clips online of beautiful gowns, some a bit too low-cut for my taste, but still very pretty. Good for Leo for winning.
