The power from within

…{T}rue power resides in reason, in eloquence, in compassion and in honest service to others. Power unites people in a common goal, a common cause, and unified action, empowering everyone in the process. Force{, on the other hand,} divides people and seeks to conquer others, empowering one at the expense of another. In life, we must recognize the difference between power and force and decide which one we will follow.

I really like your post. People should always question why they are doing what they’re doing. Personal integrity is very important .

I’ve got a story. I was diagnosed borderline schizophrenic 1975. Life fell apart, eventually gave up altogether only minor interaction with family. Stay at home dad, gave up on working, lost SSDI befits, Medicare, vowed never to work again.

2004- psychosis lost my mind, literally. committed to loony bin. Month vacation. Private room across from nurses station.

Before hospitalization had a spiritual revelation. Easter time resurrection, entered shower front of tub, exited back of curtain. Crazy shit?
discharged from hospital, medication under lock and key, couldn’t manage on my own.

very paranoid, put myself in situations to overcome paranoia and learn to socialize. Started community college with ticket to work scholarship. Honor roles and Deans list. Phi theta kappa, graduated with honors. never applied myself, thought I was dumb.
gainfully employed going college part time, AAS Chemical Dependency CounselIng, 3 years in Bible College, part time corrections chaplain, Transferred to SUNY Empire University BS Human Services degree.

Retired 2021 late start in life, but when I started, I took off like a rocket ship.
