The Solution to a Cancelled $48,000 Wedding

How very biblical.
This is a glimpse of what is referred to as the Kingdom of Heaven when the last shall be first and the poor are welcome at the table of the wealthy.

It couldn't have been easy to bring all those people together at short notice when the family was in a state of shock and bewilderment.
Good on them for making it happen.
 
Beautiful gesture. Much appreciated by their guests. And maybe some of us will decide to do something for those who have less ... at least, I hope so!
 
I think that was a wonderful gesture.... however, spending $48,000 on a wedding is crazy... Much crazier than $4,000 spent on a dog for medical expenses..
 
No shot at you QS. I thought it was kind of the people to feed the homeless. Can I imagine spending that much on a wedding? No, but South Asian friends spent over a hundred grand on their youngest daughter's wedding--three hundred guests etc. it was quite something. A Ukranian friend had a three day celebration when he married, imagine that was pricy. Different strokes.
