This story demonstrates the utter depravity of ISIS followers.

Two brothers, acting on instructions from ISIS in Syria, attempted to smuggle an IED onto a ETHIAD plane, hidden in the luggage of another brother. They did not tell him that he was about to die.

That plot didn't work because the device was rejected at the airport because of weight so they decided to try Plan B - a chemical device to be set off on a domestic flight.

This plot was foiled because they were arrested, along with the brother that they were prepared to sacrifice. He has since been released. He and his mother must be totally devastated.

The entire world is faced with an ongoing threat from these terrorists....they can strike anywhere, at any time....and will continue to try to do so. It's mostly luck, and some good police work, when such a plot is prevented. If there is any Positive side to these events, it is the fact that they kill dozens of their own people for every "Infidel" they slaughter. Hopefully this trend will continue until the point is reached where "martyrdom" is excluded as a cornerstone of their warped ideology.
 
I agree with the luck comment. Our security has been lucky thirteen times with regard to foiling terrorist attempts but this time the plan was very serious and luck was fortunately on their side.

The terrorists have only to get lucky once.
 
Thankfully , luck intervened, when security was circumvented.
