I disagree with that list.

There are indications that it should at least be suspect. The format of the original article (maybe it was original format) that I read a month ago was in what I call "click bait format." You were forced to continually click to see the next city on the list, thereby building up a certain amount of suspense as you were exposed to ads. Then when my Chicago friend sent me data that was contrary to the article, I had to wonder if the information gathered followed the strict rules of avoiding bias. But the format and purpose of the article (to sell ads) is what made me most suspicious.I disagree with that list.
When I see political polls, I dig into them deeply.Don't blame statistics. Statistics are just data, but people who don't like what they say often lie about what statistics tell us. And of course poor methodology or fraudulent methodology will produce false information. Garbage in--- Garbage out.
thank you for the laugh .... seems like some are actually trying to spread the crime around so we can all sufferJust one more example of inequality in the US.
Murder inequality is adding to the list of inequalities that are shining the light on what is happening in the US.
Murder inequality, Crime inequality, need to be addressed.
Until we strive for equality in all areas we will never be fair to all citizens. We need more murders, more crime, to make everyone to feel equal, comfortable, pacify the most downtrodden of our citizens.
(ok, before you start putting fingers to keyboard, I am being facetious)

I used to take the train to downtown and then the bus to the university (school) or the clinic (work) for several years. I learned to read the signs and the people. I learned to dress a certain way not to attract attention. Even at the clinic, where I worked, they gave us an orientation about how to protect ourselves. I remember eye contact was important (letting them know that we see them) and making sure to keep valuables hidden (trunk).
You need the wrench to kill the rats and roaches.....Interstates thru burbs and Cities are still the most dangerous place to be. People on their Cells and Drivers doing 80-85 in 60 mph traffic. .... The perpetual traffic warnings of accidents ahead mostly prove that Theory. ...Then you have the Habitual Red Light / stop sign Runner on the Side Streets...They will literally run up onto the Sidewalks to get around traffic stopped, have witnessed it .... It's a crazy world we have....Sure some of those red lights seem stuck to them.... It sure sux to be at the wrong places at the wrong times. Sure anything a Fellon can easily grab he a gonna take especially from a person alone.
But you know the Gas stations lock your Chipped cards in the pump, want a pin #, won't print a receipt etc. To me the ones to avoid are where there is nearby construction and Heavy Traffic to and from.
Have you ever stopped at a Mart and the key to the Restrooms are on large Crescent / Pipe Wrenches. avoid!
Mexico is trying to fix the top 10...by sending them to the USThe worlds most dangerous cities...

Many times I've referred to Washington DC as the Crime Capitol of the United states, and I'm not talking about the street thugs. People think I'm joking, but I'm only one quarter joking. And here I always thought the most dangerous city in the USA was Washington D.C. It threatens the entire country.

if that's the case Diva, then you can only imagine that those listed are even worse..I find it very hard to believe that Baltimore, MD. didn't make the list. It's known for being riddled with crime. Many years ago, my husband was there trying to connect with his son and he called me. In the background I heard "Pop..pop, pop, pop" I said please tell me that's not gunshots. That exactly what they were!
I guess so HD.if that's the case Diva, then you can only imagine that those listed are even worse..
