The ultimate destiny of humans. (Given a couple assumptions)

Years ago I read a sci fi story of the hard learned ability to build a passenger space ship that would take many earthlings to a newly discovered earth-like planet to live. The trip took many years. On the way, a earth space ship passed them “in a flash” to the same planet. When they finally reached the planet, they were greeted by their grown children whom had traveled on highly advanced ships built in the years after they left.

The multiple variables in every faction of life (on Earth), imo, make it impossible to be accurate in how it will be in the future.

Were screwed! To set up a survivable Colony on a Planet, say 100 light years off our solar system it would take most likely
100,000 breeding pairs. No way 200,000 + some 500,000 kids growing up in say a 25-year transit, could get along in the tiny cramped
Saucer for that long. No one could survive such a terrible packed saucer, even if it of a huge thought size compared to today's junk.

There would be defections in escape pods like Cat Walks Thru Walls. The Saucer, then adrift of any life, would be a burned relic of war.

That's taken Sci-Fi developments of faster than light drives and better equipment being manufactured aboard the Saucer to upgrade
the Ultra Plasma Heavy Drives fundamental stuff.

Can one imagine what 3 generation young adults will look like growing up on Mars where they will weigh maybe 80 lbs as adults.
Most likely round balls of Fat Weighing 100 lbs. The Space Suit appearing to be an oblong bounce off of stuff ball. Legs gone, useless.
Wearing a harness too keep the feet above the head to ward off impacts. Voice cords replaced with 2-way radios-ears implants to hear.
