The Wonderful CDC

Doubtful that the border with Mexico will ever be "closed". There simply isn't any way to patrol the hundreds of miles separating the nations, 24/7. Unless the SA and CA nations get rid of the drug cartels, and offer the people of their nations a chance to lead a decent life, there will always be a rush of people trying to enter the US illegally.

When do you think that the CDC will recommend closing the border to help contain the Virus?
My guess is they won’t.
I doubt that would have much of an impact. According to AP, there is no evidence that migrants at border are significantly spreading the virus.

And they are turned away if they present a risk.

The problem is people who refuse to get vaccinated or wear PPE. That's been shown over and over. The states with the lowest rate of inoculation have the highest rates of covid-19 cases.

We are having Hell on wheels here right now, they have closed down 12 suburbs trying to get on top of the Delta variant.
Been in the triple digits for the last 10 days and the thing is still spreading.

And yet the border [from Canada to the USA] is still closed until August 21 !

When we say say “close the border” that isn’t meant to take it literally. However, closing the border means limiting the number of illegals coming into my country. I know some people are OK with all of this, but I think of the costs we are incurring and who will pay the bills in the end. One realization that we should all know now is that we will never pay off our debt.

Even today, the government wants the debt ceiling raised, so that they may print al least another 4 or 5 trillion dollars. The biggest joke is when we are told that the best part of this new bill is that it won’t cost us a cent. OMG, I couldn’t stop laughing. Who do they think they are talking to? Has anyone ever known a time in the last 20 years when we have applied one penny to the national debt?
