"The world can't go on like this......!"

Old codger
"That's it", its all in the thread title......

A chance to have a rant about whether the world can go on like this, (only one proviso, only humourous, odd, off the wall, out of this world responses allowed okay!?).

Here is my start, just to give you the idea, (in case I'm being misunderstood, or misunderstand myself?):

"The world must stop making mountains outa molehills!". :giggle: .

Who knows-the world could go on like this forever or has it been forever that the world has been going on this way? I do think about that and sometimes I think so much that I want to stop thinking!:censored::cautious:;)Oh, I wish I were a dog.:whistle::sneaky:

The world must stop people growing too soon old, and too late smart!
Its good to feel you've had a childhood where there wasn't so much pressure to appear grown up, and you could do foolish things like get drunk, talk nonsense, get embarrassed, and eventually learn your way through it all in a relatively carefree manner 🏃‍♂️🕺.

When I would complain about something when I was a teenager, my aunt always said to me .... Cheer Up! .. next year there will be a whole new set of problems to worry about ....
So with that in mind, I just grin and bear it, and wait for the next life chapter.

It is moving too fast for our old bods and minds. It cannot last much longer going like this, that I agree wholeheartedly.
I feel there is a huge change just around this next corner, I also saw snow today.. Some changes are good, time will tell.
Like Bonnie's aunt I just grin...drives a few people nut..... :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :devilish:

Good luck on that Buddy... I think this is the new future... after this virus, there will probably be another... The world is a very SCARY place nowadays, I worry hugely about what's it going to be like for my grandchildren as they grow up...
As someone once said to me if I appeared too concerned, "Don't worry it will either rain or get dark before morning!". :giggle: .

I long for a world when grown-ups ran things. A time when parking lots were designed to be able to park a vehicle, not to be show cases of landscaping that obstructed the view of on coming traffic. A world where I could go to a store to buy new bed linens and actually have them fit the size of the mattress . A time when I could replace the head lamp on a car easily and inexpensively and not literally have to remove the entire front fender, etc.

While these are all pedestrian consumer problems they are the highly annoying to me. As for greater concerns about our culture or humanity in general, I gave up on those long, long-- long ago, after spending too much time reading too much history.

You sound as hopeless about the future, as so many of us, (I'm always being accused of "confirmation bias" should I suggest there's owt wrong!), BUT, we're still here pitching aren't we, trying to find something to laugh about, (even pedestrian consumer problems fit that bill sometimes :giggle:!), so its not all bad is it(?). History is good too!

All children should be told this by someone who loves them I think. :) !
