There is an asteroid coming by really close in July.

Remember the asteroid/meteorite that hit Russia about two years ago ?
Well, we have another one that is coming very, very close to earth in July, and NASA is calling it a "possible risk". The incoming asteroid will be a smaller one; but still large enough to do a lot of damage should it impact the earth. It will come within one LD (lunar distance) of the earth. Anything under ten LD is considered a threat.
When I watched the videos of the one that landed in Russia; it looked almost like they shot it down in the air as it was about to strike the earth, thus making the damages less. It looked like a large mid-air explosion and then the big crash of the landing.

So---- just suppose for a minute that this was going to happen, and our government knows the dangers. The major governments of the whole world know the dangers.
What would they do ??
Not tell us, that would creat panic. They might move military troops all over the world in places where they thought they might be needed the most after a disaster of this magnitude.
They might let you think that they are just getting ready for drills, or even so-called wargames, mightn't they ?
What if jade helm is to have troops ready in strategic locations of the United States to deal with the aftermath of an asteroid impact ?
The impact would probably cause earthquakes, tsunami's, and major flooding all over the world. They would need to declare martial law just to deal with the worldwide disasters.
What would you do if you thought this might happen ? (the video is pretty dramatic; but it does explain things very well)

I told you that the presentation of the video was dramatic. Ignore Prof. Doom, and just look at the information about the coming asteroid. You are missing the forest for the trees.
There is more information about this asteroid online that I have been reading, and this video, although somewhat "dorky"; does put it all together nicely and hits most of the pertinent information. Check it out yourself and see what you find, Warri.

OK I went back and paid more attention this time.

It talks about an asteroid (or is it a meteor) that is expected to pass by the earth in July at a distance of approximately 2/3 the distance of the earth to the sun (.67 AU) and it is less than 1.3 km in diameter. I'm not disturbed by this forecast event. I doubt that it will hit anything. We probably won't be able to view it without a telescope.

The next event is another one due in September that is less than 93 metres across and will pass within 0.3 AU or 3/10 the distance of the Earth from the Sun which calculates as approx. 27,888,000 miles distance. For a chunk of rock not even 100 metres across, I reckon nearly 28 million miles away is far enough for safety.

After that, I kept watching and it all became rather too bizarre - alien abduction of a Puerto Rican man? ELE? NWO (New World Order?) and Walmart in conspiracy with the authorities to prepare for national disaster?

I still think Professor Doom 1 is a bit Looney Tunes.

The first one is due tomorrow (May 14) We won't have long to wait now.

From The Science Times - Brian WuMay 12, 2015 (http://www.sciencetimes.com/articles/6272/20150512/giant-asteroid-pass-close-earth.htm)

However, despite these predictions, currently there is no need to panic. There is no indication that 1999 FN53 will hit Earth or even come close enough to affect it in any way. It is also not even on NASA's Near Earth Objects risk table, which lists objects with impact probably as low as one in 9 million.
This asteroid isn't the only one to come close to the Earth this year. Next month, an asteroid codenamed Icarus, which is one-kilometer wide and flies almost three times faster than FN53, will pass even closer to the Earth at only 21 lunar distances.

Then an even larger asteroid, whose diameter measures between 1 and 2.3 kilometers is expected to pass by the Earth at only 18.8 lunar distances from us at a speed of 20 kilometers a second. None of these bodies are expected to affect the Earth in any way.

If you are wondering what would happen, an indication of what would happen occurred in February 2015, when a bolide just 20 meters across exploded in the atmosphere above a Russian city. The blast was 500 kilotons strong, which is 20 to 30 times more powerful than the bomb dropped on Hiroshima. While no one was killed, the shockwave shattered windows and damaged buildings causing injuries to 1,500 people.

I never worry about things I have absolutely no ability to stop. This is only one of the things that can be our end. Let's have a party and wait for whatever it is.

Hale-Bopp is the only comet I've ever seen and it was exciting. It was very visible from where I live and my wife and I walked over to the campus where binoculars and telescopes were set up and where Messrs. Hale and Bopp were signing autographs. Astronomy has always been one of my interests so this was a very important event for me.

Darnit, first one due tomorrow and I was planning to pick up the first full season of Game of Thrones from the library so I could watch it and the second season marathon style this weekend. Does it list the time, maybe I can still fit in a few episodes before it hits.. Sigh.

Not to be a doubter or anything, I sure don't put it past anything that this may happen tomorrow or at some later future date, it's happened on some scale before, it'll will likely happen again, in whose time, I'm not going to spend any time worrying tonight, once it hits so will the fan and then, I'll go all walking dead commando on folks if I should be one of the folks left to roam the earth. I've already encountered enough depraved crazies, I handle the future ones I encounter. Actually, I'll just play dead everytime I hear a sound. Surely I jest.

Oh wow! How fortunate, you. I can well see that being a big day for you. Nothing like being in the right place at the right time!
