Yeah, cars are not cheap. But I was going to add it to the list. I bought a Honda, then ten years later I bought a Hyundai. These were both just basic sedans. But I got a lot more electronics, milage, less headaches and more drivability in the newer cars, for about relatively the same price (with inflation.) I agree you aren't going to buy one with a dollar and get change back, but I think you're getting a better car for about the same price.I wish I could put “cars” on this list! Even worse, trucks!
I did love a good fountain pen but can't justify one now.

Have you priced a truck lately? I told mine that she is a good girl and does not have to worry about getting traded it.I wish I could put “cars” on this list! Even worse, trucks!
Used to be Larry Carlton's favorite.A1978 Gibson 335 electric guitar!!!
Even the cheap ones are good. If you buy a pen that isn't good, you bought a pen that was damaged.I did love a good fountain pen but can't justify one now.
I know someone that paid $38000 for a used truck. The transmission failed and now it sits as they make payments and save for the next 6 months to afford a new $6000 transmission.$40,000 + for trucks with 70,000 + miles on them.
I wanted a Montblanc for a long time.Even the cheap ones are good. If you buy a pen that isn't good, you bought a pen that was damaged.
Not many people need an excellent pen. The president is one, off the top of my head. We buy them for him/her, and a lot of them are only used once. They should be required to mail them to random citizens afterward.

cheap tools now seem to be quite substantial. I have a barn full of Expensive tools such as Snap-on , stanley , Bosch, etc.. and also a lot of tools from Aldi, and the £ store... they all seem strong and stand up to the job. In fact one electric scredriver from I believe Aldi .. came with a case full of Bits.. and has performed better than the Back & decker one I haveIn The Old Days, One had arrived if they could afford even a small toolbox of Snap-On or Craftsman tools. I don’t know if that is true in today’s world, but I do know quality tools are much less like,y to break in the middle of a project.
