Presently, there's no one I know who enjoys animation as much as I do. Most people think of it as "just cartoons," but good animation is so much more. Some of them are true works of art. There are many types of animation, but I'm particularly fond of old-school animation with genuine artwork where each frame is drawn by hand and stop motion animation (it's come a long way since Gumby), but some CG animation is also very good, and all can be fantastic. And it's not just the artwork, it's also the storylines. Surprisingly, they aren't just amusing but can also be sensitive, thought-provoking and memorable. There are often very powerful messages in "cartoons." I also like original short films. In fact, I'm going to start a thread. Maybe there are a few people who'd enjoy seeing what I'm talking about.
