Does anyone remember these Nylon Overalls that all the women wore around the house in the 60's to keep their clothes from getting marked. ? My mother was the only one I knew who didn't wear one. My aunts, my friends mothers.. all wore one...

I remember my grandmothers wearing "housedresses" when they were home. They were somewhat like "housecoats" but you could feel "proper" going out in the yard wearing one. They'd usually be in a nice cheery pattern. There would be a whole section in the Penneys or Sears catalogs devoted to them.
