I was on a music / sax forum learning new things which I enjoyed. At first I started making new threads about the subjects I was interested in only to be told by admin to use the search button before creating new threads which is what I then did.Posting to old forum threads is called necro-posting, and is subject to ridecule on some forums. Some forum software will advise and warn a person that's just reading an older thread. I personally have no qualms about 'bumping' an old thread, if there's still some plausible relevance left to add.
Iād find threads using the search button and post the questions I had. Most of these threads had a notice at the bottom stating that I may not receive a reply since the threads were so old but Iād post anyway since thatās what I was asked to do.
Since these threads were so old, there were many new things available which I even knew about so Iād add that info to the old thread.
I then got a notice by the same admin telling me that if I had specific questions I that I should create a new thread.
