This is a wonderful message board, and I really love everyone here that I've come in contact with. But I'm starting to realize that at this time that I really don't fit here. Maybe when I'm a little bit older. I just have too many opinions that shouldn't be shared here-not appropriate and not allowed. At the same time I have been on boards that don't share my values and political views. That was really stressful to keep reading and answering that kind of stuff.

I'm a religious person but not religious in a institutional kind of way. Basically, I just don't feel I fit anywhere. I was hoping here.

I'm not leaving; just postponing. I don't know really what I want to do.

I hope you decide to stay. Maybe you'll find something here that helps you to relax and enjoy yourself enough that you'll want to be a part of this community.

Hi Olivia,I agree with what Chic had to say.
I joined in Aug '17,found this place to be a very welcoming community.I left the other website had been a member there for 5yrs,because it became boring. At first I was really nervous posting here,once I started I felt more comfortable doing so.
I hope you reconsider about your decision,think about it over the holidays,come back at the start of 2018. Happy Holidays Sue

That's a good idea about waiting until after the holidays instead of making rash decisions I'll regret. I have been stressing myself out and getting mad at myself because of instead of, for instance, wrapping presents I was spending time on Senior Forums. What a nut I can be. :hypnotysed:

Glad you plan to hang out a while. But do not worry about taking time off, we all do from time to time. When real life checks in. And remember one thing, if anything you are interested in discussing is not already being chatted about (outside of politics) there is always an opportunity to start a new thread.
 
Hi Olivia, I share your sentiments in your OP but have stayed here for over 2 years off and on. I come and go. You don't have to make any absolutes if you don't want to. I'm glad you are here.
 
I’m so grateful to of found this board, even though I’ll never meet anyone from here, I feel I have lots of friends and and even when Lon had his surgery, I wondered how it turned out and if he was ok. Sure there’s lots of different opinions, but isn’t that what part of being an old folk is about? I really enjoy reading others on queries I post, whether I agree or not. I couldn’t imagine not having this board in my life.
