Given that the governments are doing their level best to stop people using cash, and creating a dystopian society where everyone uses card, and ultimately the control of every citizens finances.. this is another major reason whey people should always carry cash...
Today the busiest shopping day of the week.. our 2 Largest Supermarket chains have been hit by the biggest IT meltdown in their history. All card payments cannot be processed.. nor Home shopping orders...
Sainsbury's and Tesco's both countrywide...
suffered an 'error with an overnight software update' that impacted its online ordering system and in-store payment options.
Frustrated shoppers are being forced to wait in long queues and pay with cash as the company admits it is 'experiencing issues with contactless payments'. Several customers have also complained that the grocer's ATMs have run out of money due to the influx in withdraws.
There have been chaotic scenes in Sainsbury's stores across the country today as a major IT fault left customers unable to make contactless payments and receive online deliveries.
Furious shoppers at a large Sainsbury's supermarket in west London told MailOnline that the store, which normally offers around 20 self-checkout tills, had only three counters operating, taking cash only .. causing a 'meltdown' around the payment area.
even the smart shop handset were affected..
