This left me speechless…

The article says the gofundme is to replace clothing, toys & household needs. Nothing about support for living expenses. I could be wrong but I think I read where all three are employed & nothing in the article mentioned welfare. If they qualify for food assistence I don't think that is any different than other families.

The family pictures show the children well dressed, smiling & healthy looking.

As a lifestyle choice it wouldn't be for me but it seems to work for them.

Then there is this.

As an article it is shocking to what most consider the norm. Like other stuff that goes on in our world I can't control their choice & it doesn't impact me negatively. It doesn't bother me one way or the other.

When ya think about it ...... It really is no different than the LDS? folks. They marry more than one wife, and have multiple children as well. I do not agree with either , but that's just me.

And when think even deeper, we cannot stop any two or more persons from engaging in sex and procreating. At least not without mass sterilization, and we will never see that.

Yes, this was my first reaction. I like simplicity, and I have my own personal sense of what responsibility entails.

A short article like that one can't convey a complete sense of their situation. The ideal "reality TV" series might go further that way... except the ideal type doesn't seem to exist. The actual ones on TV seem manipulated to retain viewer interest and a tolerant or amiable aura.
 
Interesting observations, the main being the children all looked happy and well cared for, it definitely would not be for me but, if the adults are happy, good luck to them

Might be an idea to invest in some Home Insurance though …
 
When unusual situations are singled out for discussion I would much rather it be something inspirational or hopeful. I know they are out there.
 
I don't care what other people do anymore as long as they aren't bothering me. If they lived next to me, and their kids were all over my stuff, then there would be a problem. Maybe that's why their place accidently burned down. :rolleyes:
 
I have no problem with people living in whatever marriage or cohabitation arrangement they like - as long as everyone has consented and nobody is being coerced

BUT like everyone else you have a responsibility to finance yourselves.
So, no,I wouldn't be contributing to a Gofund me page.
 
Isn't it interesting that it only seems to suit the men to have multiple wives. I haven't heard of any institution which supports a woman with multiple husbands, and I wonder what the sleeping arrangements would be.?
 
There's a storey about a fella who had 362 women in his life, he worked at the Fiagra factory. 😊
