There are various reasons for that and some reasons are very important. When I read someone's profile, I have to be satisfied with what they've chosen to share, or not share. I wold never share my exact location... either in profile or in chat.....

I was a moderator on another forum before this, where people did share their locations.. and one guy discovered his wife was having an affair, and he'd got it into his head that she was having this affair with another poster on the forum.. who lived about 20 miles from them.. and the first guy went around to the second guys house to beat him up... ..and these were grown adults.. not kids.. not even uder 50... seriously
