I opened my profile as it was mentioned it was closed. I didn't realize that so I changed it. However, I do not have any added information on it. I have been working on my avatar as I am now using my own photos instead of ones from an avatar site online.

At the time this guy got so close to me I had satellite internet so all he could get was a general area. I don't know about now with my broadband internet.

Yes I hadn't thought about it, but of course they're geolocated. I have all my photo's saved in the app Google photo's. It says where and when the photo is taken and shows it on a map.

I was a moderator on another forum before this, where people did share their locations.. and one guy discovered his wife was having an affair, and he'd got it into his head that she was having this affair with another poster on the forum.. who lived about 20 miles from them.. and the first guy went around to the second guys house to beat him up... ..and these were grown adults.. not kids.. not even under 50... seriously

Yes, IKR? I try to keep my privacy for safety and security. There are so many scenarios of privacy invasion, harassment, identity theft, info mining, cyber bullying, etc. We don't know each other here or anywhere else online. We just feel more comfortable as we interact for an extended length of time and ongoing. It helps me to consider what types of posts and comments others make. Many have been fortunate to find friendships and to meet in person through groups like this.
