Time Change & How Many Clocks

In North America, at 2 AM Sunday we change back to Standard Time.

How many clocks and watches do you have to physically change.

For me it’s 7. And there‘s always one I seem to forget about.

We only have one clock that we have to change manually, and it is a battery operated clock that we seldom look at anyhow, but my husband always changes it each time we have a time change.
Everything else that we use to tell time , like our phones and Apple Watch , do it automatically; so we never have to worry about those. The radio in the truck has a clock (I think ?) but we never bother to change it.
The microwave and the coffee pot both have clocks, but we never even set either one of those anymore.

I would still prefer that we stayed on one time or the other and didn’t have to go through this mess twice each year. Our state was supposed to have passed a law keeping us on Daylight Savings Time, but for some reason that didn’t happen, I guess. Maybe next year…..

I have six that I manually have to change - and did today! (to get used to early morning walks)
... and four that fix themselves at 2 AM ... . My new car even takes care of that problem now too.

We have battery operated clocks in almost each room, plus a weather-station with a clock, stove clock and mobile phones that need changing.

Of course, there's also the clock in the car as well. Hubby changes them all. He doesn't mind.

We actually only have three needing manual change: Stove and a battery operated wall clock in living room that we more often consult for it's temperature feature. i don't change the clock on my CPAP, because since it records length of time one is on it not the hours themselves (ie 6 or 7 hrs not 11:30 to 6:30) it wouldn't really matter, and never use it's clock.

We just have the ones on our phones, which automatically change. The microwave and toaster oven clocks -- I set them, and then see they are back to a row of zeroes. The stove clock is useless because our stove plugs into an extension cord, and we unplug it every time we are finished using it. I expect it's always been that way in this house, which was built in 1954, and is still its original self. Mostly because the woman who owned it since it was built collected stoves (she was a hoarder, mostly of stoves and clothing), and because there is no outlet anywhere near the stove.

My house was built in the 1860s so the electric wiring and outlets came much later. When we moved in, because i don't trust any form of gas i had them upgrade the wiring and breaker box, mostly in kitchen with new outlets for stove, washer and dryer. The contractor seemed a little surprised to learn i'm a person more concerned in most things with function than form or appearance so my country kitchen has visible metal conduits carrying the new wiring for the outlets that deliver 'more power'.

Time Change & How Many Clocks.

There's a fella that goes to our club, he fixes watches and clocks, and he told me that he has so many time-pieces, so by the time he has gone around changing the hour on all the clocks, it's time to put the hour back.
I don't believe a word of it. 😆

I have 8 that I have to physically change, have half of them done.....working on it. ;) I'm drying some fresh homegrown pears in my oven, so I can't change that clock until the oven is off.

Being a senior when Daylight Savings Time ends is a challenge. I got up and changed the clocks, my wife came down and changed the same clocks. A little while later, I forgot if I changed the clocks so I changed them again. My wife did the same. This went on for a couple of hours. It is now yesterday in my house.
